At The Sweet Haus Co., your health and safety are a top priority. As a home-based bakery, I operate under all applicable local and MO state cottage food laws, which allow me to legally bake and sell directly from my home kitchen.
Here’s what you can expect from my kitchen:
Cottage Food Law
The Sweet Haus Co. is legal and compliant with Missouri/St. Louis County’s Cottage Food Laws. These laws allow small food businesses to safely prepare and sell low-risk, non-perishable goods from home kitchens.
Clean & Sanitary Environment
I follow strict cleaning and sanitation practices to ensure every product is made in a clean, food-safe environment. This includes:
• Regularly disinfecting all surfaces and equipment
• Practicing proper hygiene and food handling procedures (wearing gloves, hair net, washing hands frequently and thoroughly, etc.)
• Keeping all baking tools and storage areas dedicated solely to The Sweet Haus Co.
Allergen Notice
Please note: While I do my best to avoid cross-contact, my products are made in a home kitchen that is not allergen-free. Items may come into contact with common allergens including:
• Wheat
• Eggs
• Milk
• Nuts
• Soy
